The longest of silences seizes as Seita is released! At the behest of our DP, I decided to update the site in the case somebody gets lost and drifts to these pages. See the movie below! - Aleksi Soukka, director of all around slacking

As the webmaster and director of the new project Seita, I humbly apologize for not updating on any news about Karvareuhka in the last year or so. A lot has been cooking up projectwise. Seita, our most recent film project is starting to take shape. We've began principal photography, which we are starting slow because most of us need to work in the summer to keep a roof on our heads. The main chunk of filming the movie takes place in July and August 2012.
Personally I am both excited and a little worried of things to come, but making films independently is all about risks and courage to take them. This time around though, we've managed to form a trust for ourselves, titled Karvareuhka Films ry (ry = registered association) to help gather funds. Seita has been budgeted from 2000 to 3000 euros, with a little extra, coming from past experience. In addition to that, me and my buddy who's the director of photography , are studying media, so we have a new skill set to make this movie the best we can. WATCH OUT FILM INDUSTRY, HERE COMES SEITA! -Aleksi Soukka, director/webmaster, Karvareuhka productions At precisely 1800 February 12th Wacht Am Rhein adorned the audience of Cafe Bar Kauppayhtiö, Rovaniemi. The premiere recieved viewers between 90 and 100 people (by an estimate by the bartender). So yeah, i'm kind of making a note here: huge success. As an added bonus we got a small article advertising our premiere in the local paper and were interviewed by Henna Beyene, in Radio Iskelmä. Without.... further... a do..... 'ere... ya .... go! We also have a screening coming up next Friday (2.18.2011) in Katutaso, Rovaniemi.
Juuso Voutilainen has used his magic photoshop fingers and whipped us up a new poster for our upcoming war spectacle Wacht Am Rhein. SO, this poster must leave you riddled to your toes, but fear not. Before the end of this world you will see that which has been named Wacht Am Rhein. In the mean time check the poster out, it's quite kewl.
You quessed it folks! The trailer for our new movie, Wacht Am Rhein, has been released into the ether. Check it out in the embeded video below or at the finnish indie movie site http://www.indietaivas.fi (once it's through inspection ofcourse). It would be a shame for this glorious day to go unnoticed. Our fellow production team's Juuso Voutilainen whipped up a nice little promo pic for ya'll niggas to enjoy. WAR is coming and the drums of war, thunder again. So © Juuso Voutilainen all rights and souls reserved.
I changed the look of the site, created a new header and added more pictures to the gallery. Go see the wonders captured in photos in the gallery page! Also, Lauri created a nice and shiny facebook co-operation page for Karvareuhka and our neighboring production team Northern Legend.
The shooting of our brand new film Normandy II is going according to schelude, of which we have a raw outline, day by day. We're hoping to finish shooting outdoors scenes before the end of September, as interior scenes are possible to shoot any given time of the year, or in some cases the day. To this day our funding has been from our own wallet, but we hope to get some financial assistance in the future. We have connections to the local municipal board of culture, which might provide to be useful in covering at least our logistic expenses.
Aleksi Soukka reporting live from his nerd den. Comment the news guys! Laittakaa sitä kommenttia! Okay, this isn't a recent update, when in actuality it's a few weeks old. I, the webmastah, added detailed self-biographic introductions of our team members to the Team page. Also if anybody of the locals in Rovaniemi have a better, more embarassing picture of Henri, you can send your best regards to aleksi.soukka[at]gmail[dot]com.
Trimmed the site a bit. New gallery added with pictures from both of the war spectacles. Also the productions page was updated with quick introductions of our finished flicks. Back to you folks. -A
